This is a recent problem, I am a seasoned bitcomet user and have my upload/ download limits set to optimum. I have all the green lights, However (see the attached) I recently noticed that my downloads are suddenly limited almost as if I was throttling my upload speeds and bitcomet "sees" me as a bad partner. I have my download set to unlimited and upload to 200kB/s yet am only achieving 5-6 k upload. connection is 120 Mb/s down and 12Mb/s up consistent . The results shown are with only a single torrent running after completion and no other demands on the connection. I suspect Mcafee but would welcome ideas

Suddendly my Bitcomet account does't work. I try to open and no answer, I even download the Bitcomet again, and the .exe file doesn't work. Can anyone helps??

I switched from qBittorrent recently due to stall issues, a known issue for that torrent client.

I used Bitcomet yesterday, left the torrent downloading over the night only to find out in the morning that the torrent was stopped. Judging from the progress it stopped in the middle of the night, which is completely unacceptable. Also, when I added a new torrent after that, the first torrent was again stopped.

So, is this another defunct torrent client?

I will see if this happens again this night...

For example, now I am trying to download The Truman Show ... with 15 seeders and no leechers ... should be a quick, easy download.

However, it hasn't started for hours. Is there something *I* can do to kickstart it?

A few days ago, I started Frida (2002) ... it stalled at 99.7%, and hasn't moved for over 2 days (despite showing 4 seeders and no leechers).

Suggestions/ideas?

Got a message warning me about this when I started Bit Comet. Told me to restore downloads.xml from bk (backup file).

I did that. It didn't help.

Any OTHER suggestions?

after using torrent for over years today i ahve registered myself for a help and i feel a bit selfish but i like your work. the way you'll made this client a must have for every one....
problem is that i'm unable to download any torrent task as it opening an error window which says
"torrent file decoding failed! please try to redownload the torrent!"

Need help on this. I have two torrents with 99.7% downloaded and both suddenly stopped a while ago and there is no more Seeders.
Is there a way to release them? Could they be blocked?

HOW DO I UNCHECK THE CHECKBOX THAT READS 'DO NOT ASK AGAIN' ?(WHEN HASHCHECKING).

I wanted to avoid being asked if I wanted to do a manual hashcheck every time I restarted BitComet. I assumed that if it didn't ask then I could avoid the hashcheck.

I can't get the dialog box to show up any more, and I can't find an option to enable/disable hashchecking.

PS: The reason I don't want to hash check is that BitComet keeps freezing on me

I have to use task manager (and also taskkill) to exit the Bitcomet task, and that takes a while until it's killed.

When I restart Bitcomet, it wants to hash check all the downloading files.

This is happening many times a day.

I have 32BG of ram and am running Windows 8.1

I have a 64-bit computer running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

I have installed BitComet 64-bit but 32-bit was not uninstalled & the old directory is still there.

Windows 'Programs & Features' and 'Revo Uninstaller' both now have no 'history' of Bitcomet 32-bit install.

Is there any problem deleting the Bitcomet 32-bit directory(folder) ?


AND/OR are there any files I should keep/copy and place into the 64-bit directory(folder) ?



Any other potential problems or actions I should be aware of ?

Hi guys, It's 10:23pm now in my country and I have to sleep because I have an event that I need to attend tomorrow, now I went to tools > Auto Shutdown > At specific time > I had set it to 1:30.

not my question is when the clock reach 1:30AM in my PC will it shutdown ? And when I it shutdown, does it just shutdown (will it corrupt the file if it just shutdown without pausing the download?) or it pause my download first ?

I use Bitcomet as shown in the picture.

At the begining I was seeding 4 torrents then before finishing my seeding I left one seed.
2 minutes after, my seeding speed on the upper right corner (I think it must be general upload) is still greater then the file seeding in it's line.
What can be the reason ?
Leechers ?
Or and unknown connection ?

Yeah, so basically, I've got several torrent files in various stages of completion on BitComet. I can click on and manipulate them all, left click to highlight, right clickand do whatever...

Except for one certain torrent file. This time it was a NES emulator torrent. A few months ago this happened with some other random torrent. It doesn't appear to matter what type of torrent, or where it came from, etc. What seems to be the only criteria is that it's the most important torrent TO ME, at the time.

Isn't that funny?

Here's a link to a video of BitComet randomly freezing just on one particular torrent file. I didn't even try to do anything to it, but left-click one time:

So, why would this be happening? And how do I fix? I'm using the latest version of BitComet. It happened last night with an older version, so I updated it to try to remedy the issue, but no go.

I'm wonder, before years we had the slowest turtle called 'emule', it was pretty crappy though, But it has a greate feature, it has file search via the Kademlia.
If I understood currectly, torrent replacement for Kademlia is DHT.
So why we can't we share a directory and search in it like oldschool Emule did?

I have read the wiki FAQ. I have searched the internet and attempted multiple answers to my questions, but I have not had any luck.

80% of the movies I download are complete and have no issues. The other 20% finish as an unfinished bitcomet file.

I have tried to import the file and rehash it, but when I do that, it says file doesn't exist. I have dragged and dropped the file as well, same result.

I do delete my file download history, and the task in bitcomet. I have a feeling that this is why I can't find it.

I'm I at a loss and have to download the file again? I know now that to manually check it before deleting anything so I won't have any future problems, but I have 25 unfinished downloads that I would prefer not to have to download again. Any help would be great.

because i need to drive a car from home to my office. near my office, there is parking area. but is always bad in parking management. recently i was searching information about rfid technology. if the parking manager introduce rfid card reader antenna with fast tag read/write operation and high identification rate, so that it is more effective for it .am i right ?
