I was wondering if anyone have recently encounter this problem lately, i have recently installed the new bit comet vers 1.37 so now when i just open the program , not downloading or uploading nothing just opening the program, i have trouble logging into bitcomet for one, and now i cant even browser the internet for GP purposes, so i was wondering if any one is is experiencing this same problem and if any one knows any solutions, Thanks

Bitcomet won't accept my Comet ID password?

It's been well over a year since I last used Bitcomet to download, and though I expected to be a little rusty at the process, the following I can't wrap my head around.
I just downloaded the latest version of BC, and logged on to Comet ID with no problems (Dashlane passw. man.). As soon as I opened BC the pop up asks me for my password, so I enter my Comet ID password and it tells me it's invalid![:huh:]()
? Am I too dumb when I don't understand why this happens? (probably ![<_<]()
) As far as I can remember I used to be able to log on with my CID password, or did I get it all mixed up in the meantime? The only changes are my modem, which is now a router-modem (got it from my provider when changing my subscription for faster internet); all the settings on my laptop (firewall etc) have remained the same, that's why I don't get it.
I hope it's just a stupid mistake on my side![:(]()

unable to install Bitcomet 1.38
My BitComet 1.37 has been removed after I refreshed my system. Then I tried to install again the latest BitComet 1.38 64bit but my PC shows "The signature of BitComet_1.38_x64_setup.exe is corrupt or invalid" when running security scan. Can anyone help me out how to stall the program again.
My system is Window 8.1. When download finish and start running security scan, then failed.

Tasks have disappeared and wont start up.
Hi BitComet! I'm new so hello. :|
I have encountered a problem. My computer restarted by itself to install updates while BitComet was still downloading.
Not only the task at hand but all of them have disappeared!![Attached Image: problem.PNG]()
So, I just need to know how to start them back up again. (The one I'm concerned about was, I think, about half way done). But it was a super huge file!

Download Complete Sound
Although I never found the sound offensive we have had several posts suggesting the "download complete" sound was annoying. Many don't realize it's very easy to replace it with any .wav file you like. I just saw a .wav file of "porky pig" saying his famous line "That's All Folks" and thought it would be a cute wav file to use so I'm going to attach it here for anyone who wants to use it with their BitComet.
Simply download the file and copy it to your "fav" folder. For most users you can find it by typing
%appdata%
in the address bar, then open the bitcomet folder, then the fav folder and you will see a file named "download-complete.wav"
In order to retain the original sound file simply rename the existing file. I did this by simply added an extra letter to the file name which you can easily remove if you want to restore the original sound, then copy this "download-complete.wav" file and bitcomet will play it when your tasks finish.

Not Enough Disk Space, but option check disk space unchecked.

I have used BC for a long time and suddenly my listen port is blocked. nothing was changed on the pc and I have gone through all the steps to open the port to no avail. I am using cisco 2325 router and have just reinstalled BC and the version says 20150629

i can't change tasks order
hi,
i don't know why but i can't change the order of download of my tasks ,when i try to drag the task up or down i can't do it and my cursor is a ''forbidden'' icon , i tried to add the ''up'' button to the task bar but i can't click on it , so i would like to know how i can change the order of download of my tasks and if is a method to lock the position of the task list how i can disable it . i also tried ctrl+up keys but nothing worked , what can i do ? before ,everything worked fine but i don't know what's wrong .so if somebody can help me it would be great .im using windows 10 build 10162 x64. thanks

Hi My listen port is blocked and I have tried in vain to get it up and running again

Red cross after download has finished

I have started to get a red cross next to my download once it reaches 100%, the download is fine, gone to the right place and is all there, any ideas why this has starting doing this.

Disk Cache needs to be bigger on default settings
Hi there, Bitcomet disk cach is set too small on its default settings. Its between 6mb and 25mb, which is way too small for this day and age and interfieres with normal computer operating by slowing down everything.
This is especially true if you are downloading bigger amount of files that are about 300+mb in size, it can bring your computer to a crawl due to all the high disk usage!
This model is at least 10 years outdated, since today the standard memory size is 4GB, so a disk cache can easily be set between 10mb all the way to 500mb.
I have it set that way and all of the slowdowns are virutally gone, my ram memory is able to easily write/read without needing to use the HDD all the time.

How to make a clean Bitcomet install
I need to do a fresh install of Bitcomet. What I need to do? I tried to uninstall and delete the files in programes files but it's not enough.
