How do you enable proxy servers?

I just bought CyberGhost to use their proxy servers & can't find how to enable them. The BC wiki just says to fill out the proxy page in Bit Comet options - fill it out with what? Where do I find the information I need? My ISP has throttled me down to 12kb max (usually half that) so I need to use a VPN. I've got no iea how to do this so I was hoping for a bit more help from the BC help menu. I can't use BC at that download speed (28 days for an NCIS series) so can anybody talk me thru' it? I'm as thick as a brick so KIS for this Stupid please.

REQ: time-slice, round-robin seeding feature

I've got like thousand of torrents. But am on a crappy non-fibre broadband line.
I like to seed to contribute to community.
However, the default/recommended settings is like "Number of active torrents (upload or download) = 8". Yes I could set this higher, but that would kill my router & BB line. I understand there's a setting for automatically switching off a torrent when the seeders ratio gets past a threshold.

but am wondering if anyone know if it's possible to automatically time-slice, round-robin, time-share the seeding amount the thousand of torrents? Such as seed these 10 for 1 hour, then switch to the next 10 in the queue, etc. and so forth.

Cannot install bitcomet firefox extension

After going to Options > Integration > Install Firefox extension for BitComet I get the following:

Quote

"Please restart BitComet as non-elevated to perform this operation"

I would unelevate myself if I wasnt the only user of the machine

How do I seed if I no longer have the task?

How can I seed a file that I already downloaded if I no longer have the task in my torrent history? I bought a new hard disk and transferred some files from the old one. Obviously have a new Windows and had to reinstall BitComet. I just don't want to download the stuff all over again in order to seed it.

Takes forever to start download

I'm trying to download "Morning Sun", there is one leecher but the download has not started after three hours.

Any ideas why? Should I try other torrent sites?

The title is the question.I have used Bitcomet for a while and it in my opinion is the best(as far as speed) out there but i get a lot of bugs like freezing every few seconds (not always but often) and refusing to stop when i stop it,then i have to force shutdown the app. Is there a real security concern using an older version because i may try that if there is no plans for an update.Its been over a year since an update so i'm thinking this is as far as the updates are going.I hope i am wrong though because it usually serves me the best.

bitcomet still making connections after tasks are all done

Why does my peerblock blocking all these different connections when I open my bitcomet? I have no task enabled, deleted all my tasks. I dont understand, please help!

Peer list is usually available when uploading. Have tried to upload two torrents at different times and have same problem. No list. Upload rate of 130 and have set to unlimited. Progress bar shows torrent is uploading fine. Have I changed anything? thx for your help.

downloading order

is there a way to move a torrent up or down in order of when to download. If I have a list of torrents ready to download and i am downloading 1 or 2 at a time and i add a new torrent and want to down load it right away is there a way to move it up the list with out having to stop all the others in the list and then restarting them after the one i wanted to move up in order has started. Not sure if I explained that properly.

Tracker change on torrent that is already seeding

Hello,

I have several torrents from site HDclub, and they are going to make a domain change and requested us to change tracker information on torrents that are already seeding (see a small video tutorial they have placed on their site)

I cannot seem to find a way to do it in Bitcomet, as when I go to the properties menu (in the Advanced tab) there is no editing of the tracker URL.

Can anybody point me to the right direction please ?

What does the "diamond" next to a torrent mean? And why am I getting them all of a sudden?

Why am I getting the "diamond" symbol next to a torrent (that is well seeded) rather than a down arrow? This has started to happen within last couple of days...

What can I do to get rid of them and start the download?

My Bitcomet is suddenly not downloading anything.

Help? My Bitcomet (which I have never had any issues with) is suddenly not doing anything. My little green arrows show up fine for each torrent, but there is absolutely no movement at all. I have torrents with up to 4,000 seeders and from top uploaders, but nothing happens. I have never seen it do this before and I have been using Bitcomet for five years.

Blocked listen port and yellow light since i went to Windows 8.1

Hello guys. I have a problem with blocked listen port and a yellow light since i went to Windows 8.1 (previous OS: Windows 7 x64), also there writes "Blocked: My IP: My current Listen Port". As long as i was using Windows 7, Bitcomet was working fine and i was getting maximum speed of 21 Mbps.

My OS: Windows 8.1 x64
Internet access: Broadband connection
Router: NO
BitComet: Last version
Antivirus: ESET NOD32
I checked my port 80 at canyouseeme.org

Response - Success: I can see your service on **.**.***.*** on port (80)
Your ISP is not blocking port 80

In Windows Firewall/Allow Apps to communicate through Windows Firewall both boxes are checked.

Please, help me.

problems with 1.38

I download about 8000 jpg files in ~150 folders. Size ~4 GB.
The program 1.38 hangs when trying to change the priority of some files or block some files or folder.
After the download is completed and the full test, 1.38 loads CPU about 50%, it worked for about 40 minutes and start the download again,
although folders have been no bc! file. In version 1.37 had no such problems.
The same windows 7x64 and the same computer.

My BitComet 1.38 suddenly slowed down!

Hallo. I am using BitComet (64-bit) 1.38.

Internet Connection: ADSL 24mbps.
I use an aDSL Router Thomson TG585.
Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium
Windows Firewall, Avira Antivir
I dont use and kind of IP filtering.
I have 4GB DDR3 RAM, Every hardware/software is updated.

So, my problem is;

Until yesterday, I was downloading with speeds over 2mb and today, all of a sudden, it can barely reach 350-400kb. I have not changed anything on my desktop or the bitcomet settings. I have the auto settings that go when someone installs the program. Any thought? I tried to put the same torrent in another torrent clinet (Vuze) and it downloaded properly. I have tried with other BitComet versions (1.28, 1.30, 1.32, 1.36) and it won't speed up.

Last night, when I shut down my desktop, I was downloading with 2.0-2.2 mbps (2000-2200 kbps) and now, as you see in the screenshot it doesnt even touch 100kb :( . I've been using BitComet for a really long time and up until now I hadn't any problem at all!!! I road the post about what informations I need to provide, and sorry if I didn't provide them all. Also, sorry for my english level. It's not my native language.
